Within a new act of aggression committed by the armed forces of Armenia against the Republic of Azerbaijan on 27 September 2020, an open source information concerning the arrival of foreign citizens of Armenian descent, including from Greece, to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan with the purpose to join military actions, was brought to the attention of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic and in this regard, the other side was requested to conduct an investigation and provide information accordingly.
After that, in connection with the decision of Greece to recall its Ambassador for consultations, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Hellenic Republic was summoned to Baku for consultations.
