Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade met with Estonian Foreign Minister Sven Mikser

Highly appreciating the relations between Azerbaijan and Estonia, Prime Minister Artur Rasizade noted that the rapidly developing economy of Azerbaijan, which directly participates in ensuring the energy security of Europe attaches great importance to mutually beneficial cooperation with Estonia – the member country of the European family. İn this respect the two countries have political will and necessary legal base for strengthening friendship and expanding economic and cultural relations.

During the meeting was noted that the cooperation on joint projects in non-oil, agricultural, transport, IT, trade, tourism and humanitarian spheres as well as collaboration within the EU is in the best interests of the two countries.

While discussing the international and regional problems Prime Minister Artur Rasizade talked about Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the efforts of the country's leadership on the way to its settlement. Prime Minister once again recalled the double standards that some countries demonstrate in this issue. Prime Minister underlined that the solution of the conflict is possible only on the basis of norms and principles of international law, sovereignty, inviolability of borders and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Later, an exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest.

Murad Najafbayli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Estonia also participated the meeting.
